Overview
Botanical Echoes is a collection of wallpaper patterns that reinterpret classic florals for the modern home. The project began as an exploration of how traditional decorative languages—florals, vines, trellises, damasks—can be reimagined using today’s colour sensibilities and interior styling directions.
Each design is crafted to balance heritage and modernity: rooted in ornamental art yet softened through contemporary palettes, airy compositions, and versatile repeats that work across bedrooms, living spaces, and reading corners. The collection includes three core directions:
1. Soft Florals in Modern Pastels. 2. Heritage Damasks Reimagined. 3. Linear Ornamental Panels & Indo-Modern Motifs
Design Intent
The goal was to create wallpapers that feel timeless, calming, and familiar, yet fresh enough for today’s interiors.
Across the collection, the focus remained on:
1. Organic, flowing floral silhouettes
2. Light, breathable backgrounds for a spacious look
3. Neutral and muted palettes that complement modern furniture
The overall mood can be described as:
“Where nostalgia gently meets contemporary minimalism.”
Research & Inspiration
This collection draws inspiration from:
a. Historic Ornamentation; Elements from Indian miniature paintings, lattice work, royal textiles, and European damasks form the backbone of the repeat structures.
b. Modern Interior Trends
Current wallpaper trends emphasise: Botanical storytelling, Mural-like flow, Soft earthy neutrals, Harlequin and geometric repeats, Maximal motifs in minimal palettes. Designs align beautifully with these directions, bringing a best-of-both-worlds feel—ornate motifs, simplified for everyday spaces.
c. Nature & Botanical Forms
Leaves, flowering vines, and organic tendrils create movement across the wall. The motifs are drawn to feel hand-crafted and stylised, never overly literal.
Collection Breakdown
1. Soft Florals for Living & Bedrooms
These pieces explore romantic botanical compositions arranged in rhythmic repeats. Painted in soft blush, beige, dusty green, dreamy blues taupe and charcoal greys, the wallpapers create a sense of calm and elegance.
Design Highlights: Airy negative spacing, Gentle tonal contrast, Works with upholstered furniture, wood tones, and muted textiles, Ideal for bedrooms, guest rooms, and quiet corners.
Florals that feel nostalgic yet lightweight—like a memory preserved on the walls.
2. Modern Damask Revival
This direction is rooted in classic damask structures but retold through softened colours and simplified motif density.
Design Highlights: Damask silhouettes made airy and breathable, Neutral-heavy palettes (greys, mink, blush, stone). Works beautifully in modern Indian homes where ornamentation is appreciated but lighter aesthetics are preferred. Elevates living rooms, foyers, and statement walls.

3. Ornamental Panels & Structured Motifs
This series interprets heritage motifs—arches, medallions, trellis layouts—into structured, architectural repeats. It borrows from Indian decorative arts, Mughal motifs, European paneling, and mid-century geometry.
Design Highlights: Vertical layouts that elongate walls, Repeating medallions framed in soft geometric structures. A formal yet contemporary aesthetic. Perfect for dining rooms, feature walls, boutique hotels, and curated homes
